Colin Mitchell-Crouse
Colin is a proud Nova Scotian, natural storyteller, and shameless idealist. He is deeply committed to improving how government serves people — bringing hands-on experience in politics and policy across jurisdictions in Canada. His career includes roles in federal politics, Health Canada’s COVID-19 Task Force, and Environment Canada’s Climate Change Branch.
Colin excels at connecting people to their ideas and helping them craft and share stories that matter. He is a historian, public servant, tour guide, and co-founder of Halifax Bar History. He is an experienced TEDx speaker, currently serving as a Director on the Board of the Friends of the Halifax Public Gardens, and is writing a book exploring the rich and complex history of Acadia University.
He holds a Master of Philosophy in International Relations and Politics from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Politics from Acadia University — at which he received the Golden A Award and University Medal in Politics. He is also an alumnus of the highly selective Government of Canada’s Recruitment of Policy Leaders Program.
