Srashti Gautam
Srashti is a healthcare professional, wellness advocate, and passionate community voice whose journey is a testament to resilience, empathy, and the power of vision. She believes that struggles are not barriers but bridges—opportunities that shape us into who we are meant to become.
Growing up in India, she faced challenges that tested her courage and self-belief. From navigating societal expectations to overcoming rejection, she learned that “Rejection never defines us—it refines us.”
These struggles sparked her deep empathy for others and gave her the courage to pursue a new beginning in Nova Scotia. Adjusting to life in a new country was not without its challenges, but Srashti embraced every experience as a lesson. She reminds herself and others: “Empathy is the key to building communities where people truly belong.”
With a background in Biotechnology and Healthcare Management, she blends scientific expertise with human-centered leadership. Her professional journey includes impactful work at IWK Health, volunteering at the QEII Cancer Centre and Salvation Army, and supporting community events like TEDx Argyle, Beyond Runway 2025, and Fearless Women. Her current research focuses on understanding how toxic work environments affect healthcare delivery and patient care — because she believes healthy professionals create healthier communities.
What makes Srashti truly stand out is her unique voice and passion for health and wellness education. She is especially fascinated by the link between gut health, mental well-being, and overall vitality. Through her passion project, named as “PoopTalks,” she aims to break the stigma around gut health conversations, empower people to understand their bodies better, and inspire them to make choices that lead to long-term wellness.
Her skills and strengths include:
Empathy & Communication – building trust, listening deeply, and sparking honest conversations about health and well-being.
Leadership & Facilitation – guiding discussions and creating safe spaces where ideas can flourish (Critical Conversations & Change It Up certified).
Research & Innovation – combining science with storytelling to make complex health topics approachable and actionable.
Resilience & Adaptability – turning personal challenges into inspiration for others.
Visionary Thinking – designing wellness initiatives that nurture both physical and emotional health.
Srashti also sees herself as a lifelong learner — someone who is constantly evolving and collecting insights that can benefit her community. Her dream is to become a strong voice for health literacy and wellness, inspiring people to re-imagine their relationship with health from the inside out.
Her guiding philosophy is: “Keep the child within alive — the one who stays curious, learns with enthusiasm, and refuses to let the opinions of others shape their path.”
