Linda Symonds
Linda Symonds is a museum interpreter, storyteller, and local historian. Linda has lived most of her life on Cape Sable Island where the sea has shaped her family for generations.
While dates and events are important to history, Linda is more interested in the stories of the people who lived those events. She enjoys sharing the stories of courage, perseverance, humour, and sometimes sheer stubbornness of ordinary people facing extraordinary situations.
She is the author of Rock and Rips: Shipwrecks off Cape Sable and also shares stories on her YouTube channel World of the Lost.
When not researching, Linda can be found in her garden, wandering places where stories linger, or following wherever curiosity leads.
