Dr. Kathy Toogood
Dr. Kathy Toogood is a speaker, learner, facilitator, and leader.
She began her career in Nova Scotia as a high school math and science teacher and then moved to Alberta in 1990. Her work as an educator expanded from teaching high school to being a district consultant, elementary school principal, a government manager and now a part-time professor.
She moved back to Nova Scotia in 2021 during the pandemic and makes her home in Windsor, NS.
Drawing from her doctoral research on female principals, and ongoing leadership learning, she published her first book, Women Thriving in Leadership: Practices for Cultivating Wholeness and Community in May of 2024. Since then, she has been sharing her insights about practices for personal and community thriving in person and virtually at conferences and special events. A skilled speaker, writer, and facilitator, she is excited to support thriving in Nova Scotia through speaking and facilitating workshops or retreats. She loves to work collaboratively with others to inspire confidence, deepen learning, and empower listeners to take action in their lives.
