What is SNS?
Speakers Nova Scotia is a new, non-profit association for people who do some form of public speaking work and who live in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Speakers NS is open to all people in Nova Scotia who do this type of work, regardless of how much they make & how big their audiences are.
We are a membership based association operated by a volunteer board of member-directors.
We have an online Speakers Registry that showcases what our members have to offer and includes a linked form for booking inquiries.
For our purposes a public speaker is someone who has presented speeches, lectures, or keynotes, is frequently interviewed, appears on or hosts an audio or video show/channel/stream (podcasts, YouTube, Twitch, etc), MCs shows & events, facilitates workshops, performs poetry or spoken-word art, and those whose share cultural knowledge through traditional storytelling & teachings. We welcome speakers of all languages.
SNS is just getting started! We're currently working on member resources and benefits, and taking suggestions of what we can do to support & represent our community.
If you're interested in being a founding member of SNS, or have any questions or suggestions, please email us at speakersnovascotia@gmail.com or click the "join" button at the bottom of this page to apply today!
