The official name of this organization is The Public Speakers Society of Nova Scotia. We were officially incorporated as a provincial non-profit on October 4th 2024.

The Board meets 4 times per year (1 of which is the AGM) and works in an advisory capacity. To join the board you must be a Speakers NS member and be elected at the AGM in January. In the case someone leaves their board position before the next AGM their spot can be filled by an interim board member appointed by the remaining board members and will stay in that role until the next AGM.
